Naomi - Pilates Instructor
Naomi Vaughan has been in the Pilates community for the past 20 years. She started her teaching career as a figure skating coach, which led to a coaching position with the Special Olympics. This experience gave her great perspective about coaching and teaching. She taught the athletes about skiing, hiking, biking, and swimming.
In 1997, after a few years of practicing Pilates, she decided to transition into a Pilates apprenticeship. She worked for Ann Turner Studio for many years, then in 2004, became a certified instructor through Power Pilates in New York.
Naomi has a passion for the body and teaching others about it. As an ex-athlete, she has worked with athletes, dog mushers, seniors, and injured individuals. Her speciality is working with women over 50 years of age.
Naomi grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska. She now lives in Anchorage with her husband, Alex, and their two children.
